Social Responsibility

Olympus is committed to supporting and fulfilling a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (CSRP) focused on the employees and the people who live and work in close proximity to the Company's mining operations.

Olympus works with the communities in which we operate. We take care to be excellent stewards of the environment and verify our business decisions are socially responsible for all. Our policy is to engage with stakeholders and the various levels of governments to understand the opinions of those who have a vested interest in the development of our gold mining operations. We work with the governments and the communities in a transparent business environment within the local laws and the regulatory rules pertaining to Canadian public owned companies. Olympus promotes fair trade practices, competition and tries to support local businesses as much as possible. Our strategy for managing our Environmental Impact Agreement (EIA) and social aspects of our business focuses on implementing best practices throughout the mine development life-cycle, including exploration, mine development, operations, closure and reclamation. We are committed to safety, stewardship of the environment, and social responsibility. To realize this value, Olympus has developed a corporate Code of Ethics approved by the Company's board of Directors. This Code reflects our commitment to a culture of honesty, integrity, and accountability, and outlines the basic principles and policies, which everyone at the Company is expected to comply.
