Olympus Pacific Minerals Vietnam is part of a Canadian gold producer with gold properties located in Vietnam, Malaysia and The Phillipines. We are seeking suitable candidates for the position of Legal Excecutive for Vietnam, based in Danang.
 

Key Responsibilities:

The position will require you to demonstrate a strong background in commercial law, and up-to-date knowledge on Vietnamese statutes to help the Company’s senior management team to:
  • Compile and file all legal documents of Olympus Pacific Minerals, its joint ventures and stakeholders in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Negotiate and draft commercial contracts, review contracts and non-standard legal transactions, and provide proactive legal advice as required to maximise commercial benefit for the Company and reduce risk, including advising on English-Vietnamese translation issues.
  • Handle litigation and other legal matters involving the Company when requested.
  • Ensure that the Company complies with local laws and maintains ethical business practices in Vietnam.
  • Ensure that high ethical standards are adhered to, and co-ordinate and supervise all matters relating to the Company in the hands of external counsel.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in law.
  • 2-3 years work experience as a lawyer either for a firm in a commercial practice or in house in a Company in a commercial role.
  • Good English skills in communication and writing.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in Vietnamese. 
  • Diligent, disciplined and able to work under pressure.
  • Pragmatic and commercial approach to resolving legal issues.
